You need someone on your team who understands your field and maximizes your message.

Maybe I’m that someone?

I’m Morgan.

Your go-to-girl for smart, punchy, and polished copy that blends strategy with storytelling.

I specialize in creating and editing long-form content and copy for over-extended educators, authors, and thought leaders, bringing personality and connection to the forefront without sacrificing or watering down expertise.

All my life I’ve been told I have a way with words.

I attended writing camp in elementary school and won my first award for headline writing when I was an editor for my national award-winning high school yearbook.

Yes, I’m taking my talents back to Pleasant Grove High School.

Since then, I’ve:

  • Managed social media and created content for the biggest brands in sports.

  • Written hundreds of headlines for top publications and websites.

  • Coordinated public relations campaigns for major events, organizations, and athletes.

  • Ghostwritten book proposals and edited speeches and manuscripts for executives at the top of their field.

  • Edited books, Bible studies, articles, proposals, and press releases.

  • Assisted with 50+ book launches.

I have over a decade of writing and creative storytelling experience behind me, but I’m more than just a good writer.

I’m also a:

  • Connector of people and ideas

  • Socially-minded thought-leader

  • Accidental project manager

  • Curious and strategic thinker

  • Cross-functional partner extraordinaire

And I’ve got credentials.

When I was studying communications and public relations in college, I landed an internship with the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee that eventually led to an exciting career in the sports industry. Though my lifelong dream was to work in book publishing, I started my career with an open mind and followed the opportunities and open doors.

My professional career as a strategic communicator began with my role managing public relations, media relations, print, and digital communications to enhance the brand and fan engagement efforts of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, a major college football bowl game.

That role led to opportunities to collaborate with many other major sports brands on communications strategy, including AT&T Stadium, College Football Playoff, United States Tennis Association, Arkansas Razorbacks Athletics, Big 12 Conference, AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, NCAA Final Four, Davis Cup, Nancy Lieberman Foundation, Irving Tennis Classic, Matchpoint Agency, Charleston Open (WTA), Baylor University, and more.

But then I became a mom.

And I found myself in a less-than-healthy work environment.

…I Y K Y K.

I loved my career and the trajectory I was on, but not as much as I love good mental health.

So I pivoted.

I had another dream on my bookshelf that only needed some dusting off.

Since pivoting out of a full-time career in sports, I’ve returned to my first love:

Writing.

Now I’m bringing my dream to life by helping you achieve yours.

My growing list of clients are primarily in publishing and higher education, including published authors, and educators, and experts seeking to bring their research and thought leadership to a larger audience.

When I’m not writing for clients, I’m probably writing an op-ed on a social issue, a script for my spiritual formation podcast, or a spicy take on Twitter

I do most of my writing in Waco, Texas, where I can usually be found at our local bookshop, the campus library, or on the tennis court.
